The KV paid $1,100 for this secondhand combine, found in the shop of E.H. Wilson & Co. of Philadelphia undergoing repairs. In 1912 it was rebuilt into a full passenger coach. All rolling stock equipped with gravity-lock automatic buffer-couplers and Westinghouse air brakes. The only freight cars on the KV roster were the three flatcars. Removable sides were installed so that they could carry loose material. Boxcars and gondolas were rented from PRR. Other road names on the line, from 1899 waybill records, were: Pittsburg, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis; Pittsburgh, Ft.
