December 14, 2001 The KV Caught on Film page has gotten a face-lift.

All of the links and site status on the Awards Received pages have been updated.
December 1, 2001 I've been playing around with image maps and roll-overs. The results of which can be seen on all of the Route pages. I cut the bandwidth down substantially by making the map the background and all of the corresponding routes as transparent images.

Track was laid around the Links page and some dead links were weeded out. An engine was added as well. No, your eyes are not playing tricks; I made up a JavaScript routine that randomly moves the engine every time the page refreshes.

August 24, 2001 I got creative this week and gave the History section a new look! Other than the new navigation bar, most of the change is cosmetic. However, I did add some content. Stay tuned, more changes are on the way!

June 7, 2001 This page was getting rather lengthy, So I have broken it up into years.

I was honored with the Shandygaff Golden Keg Award last month and have just now found the time to display it. Technically, this award should be placed in a separate 3.5 Rated Awards section since it honors all business and personal sites. But since the Shandygaff is a bar I patronized when I lived and worked in State College, PA, I felt it more appropriate to place it in my Specific Awards section.
June 6, 2001 Many railroad hosting sites are discovering that it's hard to make money from hosting sites for free. Some have started to charge for the service. Others are forcing sites to have ad banners. And a few are discontinuing the service altogether, which is the case with the KV's previous host, Railroad Depot. To prevent a lot of hassle, now and in the future, I've decided to get the KVRR its own domain name and to pay for the hosting services.

A "roll-over" was created for the Smokin' Award button on the home page.

January 25, 2001 It's been over a month since I've touched the Ol' Hook & Eye. My excuse is that I've been busy finishing a new site called The Smokin' Award. This is an awards program specifically for railroad sites. An image of the awards and the associated link has been added to the home page.

The Holidays are over and so is the "Holiday Puzzle" button on the home page.
