The history has been updated to current day on the Mifflin & Centre County Railroad, the PRR (Middle Division) and the Sunbury & Lewistown Railway pages.

A new page showing the track plan of Reedsville has been added to the Route section along with four new photographs.

Previous and Next entry navigation buttons were added to the What's New and Awards Won sections.

Title graphics were raised on the menus to line up with the page links.

Mailing list notice was removed from the Home page.

A lot of new information has been added to the Belleville map in the Route section. Roll-over and click on the building you want to see and read about. A total of 11 new photos and accompanying descriptions were added.

All pop-up windows were reprogrammed to display photos and descriptions in separate frames. This was done so that copy will be in text format rather than a graphic and that large descriptions would scroll without moving the photo.

Hmmm... I just noticed that the "Then & Now" photos produced an error in Netscape 4.08. During testing everything worked off-line but not when the pages were up-loaded. This has now been resolved.

A custom 404 Error page was added to the site.

The pronunciation, including a wave file link, for Kishacoquillas has been added to the Home page.

The RealPlayer files are now working again on the Movie page.

Most of the Guestbook entries have been restored.

The address to order Lewistown and the Pennsylvania Railroad From Moccasins to Steel Wheels from the PRRT&HS has changed on the Lewistown and the Pennsylvania Railroad Book page.

To make the Smokin' Award appear as a stand-alone AP, the graphic links to that site will open it in a new browser window.

The Guestbook entries and mailing list data files were lost during the move to the new server. A notice about this has been added to the Home page.

The Links page was redone with many new links added.

All of the HTML coding was gone over and some corrections were made.

The PRR was originally surveyed through Kishacoquillas Valley! See an old 1840's survey map on the PRR (Middle Division) page.

The move to the new server was successful and the site is back up and running.

Notice the two new buttons on the top right corner of the screen? These are "Page Top" and "Page Bottom" navigation links and will work on every page.

The Logging Railroad page and the Lewistown & Reedsville Electric Railway page have new photographs.

Copy was changed and an excerpt from the first annual report of the chief engineer of the PRR was added to the PRR (Middle Division) page.

During the previous update, the bookshelf image disappeared from the bottom of the Book section. It has now returned.

All pages should now display properly in Netscape Navigator 4.08.

A new page showing the track plan of the Belleville Depot has been added to the Route section. Thanks to my pilot friend, Gene Poppel, I was able to capture the "Now" shot of Belleville from the sky.

Small map added to the PRR (Middle Division) page to make it consistent with other route pages.

I had the Ol' Hook & Eye rated as being child-safe with the Internet Content Rating Association. A small ICRA link graphic has been added to the bottom of the Home page.

COPPA and Statistic Report statements have been added to the Privacy Policy page.

The number plate from engine No.3 has found its way into the Kishacoquillas Valley Historical Society collection and can be seen on the Court Approves Permanent Improvements page.

A pin from the 17th annual KV Picnic in 1910 is shown on the First KV Picnic page.

A photo of the first KV minute book has replaced the old graphic on the The Ol' Hook & Eye Book page.

Due to closing, the Railroad Web Ring has been deleted from the Links page.

The Mesweet's Award has been upgraded to 5.0 with Award Sites! With the Webmaster's permission it has been moved to the 5.0 Rated Awards page.

I received a new version of the Canonical Award, it is shown on the 4.5 Rated Awards page.

The Ol' Hook & Eye has won the AMRA Great Site Award!

ONZCDA has sent me a new numbered and dated Site of the Month award. It has replaced the old one on the 4.5 Rated Awards page.

Button text in the left menu of the Home page is now anti-aliased.

All text now lines up properly in Netscape 6.2.

I have just downloaded Netscape 6.2 and noticed that the "Then & Now" photos did not appear in the pop-up window. Grrr... It was working in 6.0! After several hours of banging my head and finally making one little variable change in the JavaScript code it now seems to be working.

The first KVRR minute book was found! Read about it in an update to the Book page.

Relic hunter, Dane Spriggle, scanned in some coins that he found at Gibboney Park. They are shown on the First KV Picnic page.

Links and site status on the Awards Received pages have been updated.

The Ol' Hook & Eye was pleasently surprised by being honored as NovaSite! of the Month.

The "warning" has been removed from the Home page (See below). All CGI scripts are now working properly.

The site has been moved to a new server. This is causing some problems with some of the CGI files. A "warning" has been posted on the Home page.

Some new information was found on engine #1 and added to the Locomotive Roster.

New information on flatcar #101, combine #2 and a new motorcar has been added to the Rolling Stock Roster.

The site now has a Guestbook and is linked from the Home page.

Changes made to Sitemap, Copyright and Privacy Policy pages concerning the guestbook.

The Ol' Hook & Eye has been honored with a WeB Pix Award from Beehive Awards!

With the approval of Heidi Walsh, I have moved Heidi's Website Award from 4.5 to the 5.0 Rated Awards page.

Due to the complexity and incompatibility of the JavaScript programming, the site returns to using several framesets instead of just one. Therefore, any open pop-up window associated with the site will need to be closed manually.

Some pages that had a combination of JavaScript and CSS scripting did not refresh properly when resized in Netscape Navigator 4.08. This has been corrected.

A Bug preventing the user from accessing Home after performing a search has been fixed.

If a page HTML file was directly input into the Address field of a browser an error occurred. This is now fixed.

A minor shadow change has been made to the graphic for the bottom page link.

Links and site status on the Awards Received pages have been updated.

During a general maintenance session I found that the Combat Railfans of Arizona site must have gone to the "Great Roundhouse in the Sky" and therefore has been removed from the Links page.

A new page on the KV Represented at NY Worlds Fair has been added to the History section.

Top and bottom page links have been added to all long pages, notably to What's New, all Award pages and to Search & Sitemap.

Lantern divider graphics added to menus in What's New and Award pages.

A link back to the Awards Received page has been added to all award pages.

Link to Railroad Award Sites added to Specific Awards page.

A corresponding text link has been added to Smokin' Award on the Home page. Also, text bolded and made larger for the site revision date link.

Missing ALT tags are fixed in the Book section.

A "Close Window" button has been added to all pop-up windows.

The site now only uses one frameset. Now when the browser leaves the KVRR site any open pop-up window associated with the site will also close. (This will not always happen in Netscape 4 due to an Event bug in that browser.)

Pop-up windows will now size properly in Internet Explorer on the Mac.

Many changes made to make the site more Netscape 6 compliant.

Internet Explorer selection rectangles will no longer appear in the top menu or on photo pop-up window links.

Minor graphic changes made to the tracks on the History, Sitemap and Links pages.

The Ol' Hook & Eye has been honored with a Gold PeaceWork Certified Site Award!

Descriptions were added to all of the "NOW" photographs. See January 30th update below for the list of photos.

A JavaScript bug found in the "Then & Now" pop-up window routine has resulted in a complete rewrite of the code. It ain't pretty but it should be compatible with IE and NN 4+ and above browsers.

Coding for the Pennsylvania Railroad WebRing has been repaired on the Links page.

A comment about the pine trees in the terminal yard was added to the first photo description on the Court Approves Permanent Improvements page.

The Ol' Hook & Eye has been upgraded from a Silver to a Platinum Otakou Creative Design Award!

Corrected an error on the Rolling Stock Roster page. Under the KV's first motorcar the graphic label read, "No photo found of this derrick." Duh!

Minor changes made to the JavaScript "pop-up" window routine to make it compatible with Netscape 6.

If you see an old photograph with a gold dog-eared graphic in the bottom right corner, click it to view the same scene as it appears today. The "Hidden Link" button on the Home page has been replaced with Search & Sitemap. You can access this new page from anywhere on the site by clicking on the smokin' engine in the top menu bar. The search engine script I am using is called 'KSearch.' This is one of the best full-featured and customizable Perl scripts that I have found. The best part is that it's free and can be downloaded at kscripts.com.

The Home page has a new look. And the banner proclaiming that the KVRR has a new domain has been removed.

To conserve bandwidth, the engine sound on entering the home page has been disabled.

For continuity all main menu text links were removed from all sections.
