December 10, 2003 Bottom menu in the Book section now appears properly in Opera 7.0.

Code fixed so that the new window opens correctly in the Awards section in Opera 7.0 and in Netscape 4.08 and 6.2.

The search form box on the results page under Sitemap now appears properly in Netscape 4.08.
December 9, 2003 A new "Then & Now" photo on the Route: PRR (Middle Division) page, shows how Lewistown Junction looks today.

A new page called "Take a train ride on the Ol' Hook & Eye" was added. It's a copy of The Sentinel article on a talk I gave in April. The new page is linked from the Hear the Author page.

Copyright and permission statement about The Sentinel article added to the Copyright page.

The title "KV Railroad" has been renamed to "KVRR" on all pages.

November 20, 2003 Fixed the site so that it will now run in Opera 7.0+ with JavaScript enabled!

If the Flash plug-in to play the introduction is not found, a new Download page appears.
November 18, 2003 Code fixed so that the new window opens in the Awards section in Internet Explorer 4.0.
November 17, 2003 The Links page has been redesigned.

Fixed the new window that opened in the Awards section so that the vertical scroll bar will always appear.

October 23, 2003 A new "Then & Now" photo on the Route: Belleville page, shows how J.M.Young's & Livestock Market looks today. It was created by using an enlarged portion of the Bird's-eye View of Belleville photo.

Some coding errors were corrected in the Sitemap. All of the photos should now display properly.

September 25, 2003 Due to the email spam, I've changed webmaster to kvwebmaster in my old address webmaster@kvrr.net.

In an effort to confuss harvesting 'bots, my email links are now written in the ISO-Latin-1 charecter set.

The form on the Contact Webmaster page now submits to a new form processor called Biz Mail Form.

June 22, 2003 I was feeling creative this past week and built an Introduction for the Ol' Hook & Eye in Flash. A "Replay Intro" button was added to the Home page.

Standard links for "Home" and "Search & Sitemap" have been added to What's New, Awards, Bibliography, Contact, Copyright and Privacy Policy pages in order to make the menus more consistent.

A "Get a Map" button links was added to the Hear the Author page. It will appear only when I have a talk scheduled.

Minor graphic changes made to the lantern graphics in the What's New section.

All of the coding was gone over and the site is as HTML complient as it's going to get.
June 10, 2003 The Ol' Hook & Eye has won the Gold Pantheon Award. So far it's the first site to have gotten a perfect score!
June 6, 2003 The Nashua City Station Great Site Award has been changed to the City Station Award (Gold!) on the Awards page.
June 4, 2003 Thank you to DRH Design and The Rose Awards (A Platinum!) for honoring the Ol' Hook & Eye with their Awards.

May 27, 2003 The top main menu has changed. The "Links" button was removed and a new section called "Roll Call of Officers, Directors and Employees" was added.

Links can now only be accessed from Home.

A new page called Hear the Author is linked from the Home page.

The Bibliography can now be accessed from any page.

Visit the Rockhill Trolley Museum from my Links page.

Most text links are no longer bolded for easier reading.
May 9, 2003 A couple more "Then & Now" photos were added. The KVRR Depot and Gibboney's & Big Valley Store photos on the Route: Belleville page.

A Bibliography has been added and can be accessed from the Home page.

Contact Webmaster now links to a mail form page rather than the default mail program.

A couple of interesting Mifflin County related links were added to my Links page. Check out the Big Valley Area Business Association and the Kishacoquillas Watershed sites.

I didn't like the look or the functionality of the Copyright and Privacy Policy pages in their own window. They now no longer open in a new window. Minor text changes were also made to both.

Mailing list page now matches the color on the Home page.

April 29, 2003 A couple of "Then & Now" photos were added. The Belleville Bridge on the History: Belleville's Big Blaze page, and the Ka-Vee Ice Cream Co. on Route: Belleville page.
April 15, 2003 Last week I hiked to the top of Jack's Mountain and found the spot where the 1909 photo of Reedsville was taken on the Route: Reedsville page. I took a photo to show how the Bird's-eye view of Reedsville looks like today.

The Ol' Hook & Eye has won three more Awards! Thanks goes out to BTDesign, Master of Magick and Idiom Sisters for reviewing and awarding this site.
April 3, 2003 A couple of little poems were added, one at the beginning (Charter Granted page) and one at the end (KV Sold for Scrap page) of the History section.

March 8, 2003 The Ol' Hook & Eye has been honored with the Valkyrie's Award.
March 3, 2003 Changed the look and feel of the Search & Sitemap page. Main topics are now "folders" that can be expanded.

Changed the forms on Home, Awards Won, and Search & Sitemap pages from brown to green color.

Added the word "SEE" to the buttons on all the "Then & Now" photos.

The map will now display before the route graphic throughout the Route section (You probably didn't notice it, but it was bugging me).

All links to "Holiday Puzzle" were removed.

February 25, 2003 Some new information was found on engine #4. It was said to have been from the Southern Pacific and had a real Southern accent. See the Roster page and engine No.4 photo.

A copy of the Ol' Hook & Eye was said to have sold for over $100 at a recent auction! Added a little notation about this on the Book page.
February 20, 2003 The Ol' Hook & Eye is honored to have won the Nashua City Station Great Site Award.

The entire Awards section has been revamped for greater flexibility.
February 10, 2003 The Ol' Hook & Eye is pleased to have won the Bygone Monon Cyberspace Award.
February 3, 2003 A photo of Lewistown Junction has been added to the PRR (Middle Division) page.

New "month" navigation bars added throughout the What's New section.

I forgot to add Reedsville to the pull down menu throughout the Route section. This has been corrected.

Fixed several bad links in the Sitemap.

January 11, 2003 The Ol' Hook & Eye is deeply honored to have won the esteemed ONZCDA Site of the Year Award.
January 2, 2003 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

For Christmas I received a digital camera (Canon A40). It was also a white Christmas, meaning that I could take some "Then & Now" photos in the snow! The entire Awards Won section was redesigned. Awards are now displayed by rolling over the award names.

The Copyright and Privacy Policy pages were redesigned and now open in a seperate window.

The bottom menu in the Guestbook was broke but is now in working order.

All menus were removed from the KVRR Mailing list page.
