October 29, 2004 New code used for opening windows. No matter what browser or over-riding controls there are, the specified inner document dimensions should remain the same.
October 25, 2004 "Click to Hear the Author" was changed to "Click to Read About the Author" on the Home page.

When I was around ten years old I did a filmstrip on the KVRR for a school project. You can view it on the Read About the Author page.
October 5, 2004 A new "Then & Now" photo on the Route: Belleville page, shows where the ol' KVRR Enginehouse once stood.

Some of the new windows of enlarged photos had horizontal scroll bars in the Firefox browser. This was corrected.

September 30, 2004 Hal H. Manbeck added to the conductor list on the Roll Call of Employees page.

Revised pop-up coding so that the new window is at the correct height.
September 20, 2004 Through further research I have concluded that the KV did indeed have a motorcar in 1909 and possibly purchased it the year before. In my photo collection from the late Harvey Kanagy, is a picture of a motorcar (labeled: motorcar No.1) that was tested in Burnham and may have run on the KV. See Rolling Stock Roster for details.

A Close-up photo of the last coach on the supposedly "First" picnic train was added to the First KV Picnic page.

The How to Use page now tells the user how to use the magnify feature on some of the photographs.

The Search & Sitemap page has been reprogrammed to increase loading speed and execution.

Pop-up window coding has been simplified for displaying all enlarged photos throughout site.

The text on the Introduction page was changed to serif font to match the rest of the site.
September 11, 2004 A new window no longer "pops-up" when the Awards Received page is accessed.

The conductor's name William Bradey was misspelled and changed to Claire Bradley on the Roll Call of Employees page.

"Enjoy your visit to the Ol' Hook & Eye Website!" added to the bottom of the How to Use page along with a few other minor changes.
September 1, 2004 A list of auditors and chief engineers has been added to the Roll Call of Officers page.

It is believed that the motorcar bought in 1911 was the KV's first. The reference of the 1908 motorcar has been deleted from the Rolling Stock Roster page.

August 7, 2004 The Reset button now works on the Awards Received page.
August 6, 2004 Lantern bullet graphics were toned down in What's New, Rollcall, Copyright and How to Use pages.

All new windows with photographs should now open properly with no scroll bars in Windows XP. JavaScript coding to open new windows has been simplified.
August 4, 2004 Once again an Introduction plays before entering the site. This was done to help site listings on search engines that do not like frames. Home, Search & Sitemap, How to Use, and Privacy Policy pages were changed to reflect this.

The Awards Received page will now display properly in all browsers if automatic popup blocking is implemented. The page was also rebuilt to split into the standard two instead of three frames.

July 9, 2004 Going through the old minute book, I found that John M. Flemming served a year as the railroad's treasurer. The Roll Call of Officers page was changed to reflect this.

June 19, 2004 I visited the archives in Harrisburg, PA and found my way to the patent office where I discovered that there was another patent on the Kishacoquillas Valley Railroad from 1868! Read what I found in my research, on a new page I created in the History section entitled The First KV Charter. Minor changes were made to the Second Charter Granted (previously named "Charter Granted") and Construction Started pages to tie into the first page.

May 20, 2004 Minor copy changes made to the Last Train to Stewartstown? page.

All frameset pages such as the Home page will check browser for Frames and JavaScript support and will display a warning if no support is found.
May 18, 2004 A new page called Last Train to Stewartstown? with five photographs was created documenting my trip on the Stewartstown Railroad. It is linked from The Story of the Stewartstown Railroad book review and the Search & Sitemap page.
May 10, 2004 RealPlayer® and the Windows Media® Player are now built into the site, as seen by playing the video clips on the The KV Caught on Film page.

View Introduction has been moved from the side menu to the top of the Home page.

Typeface for "The Ol' Hook & Eye" graphic title was changed on the Home page and The Ol' Hook & Eye page.

April 24, 2004 The Home page now loads immediately upon entering the website. A link has been added to View Introduction from the Home page. Search & Sitemap was changed to reflect this. Introduction removed from the How to Use page and the Cookie description from the Privacy Policy page.
April 20, 2004 The KV Caught on Film now has options to play the video as a Windows Media® or a MPEG file.
April 17, 2004 Three book reviews have been added to the Book section. For site consistency a new sub-menu structure has beed added throughout the Book section.

The name of the KV's first conductor, John B. Gemmill, is now spelled correctly on the Roll Call of Employees page.
April 5, 2004 I found an interesting model railroad site based on the KVRR. It is called the Indian Valley Railroad and can be viewed from the Links page.

March 30, 2004 You now have the option to view or not to view the animated introduction during your next visit. See the How to Use page for more information.

Introduction was moved to the top of the Search & Sitemap page.

The date for the first run of the Saturday Night Special was found during my research and placed on the History page.
March 22, 2004 The names of John Patton and Charles R. McColm has been added to the Roll Call of Employees page. Further research revealed that these two were station agents at one time. James Orr has also received a middle initial.

A Bookmark link has been added to every page of the site so that you can save a page in your browser to access and view it again at another time. For more information see the How to Use page.

February 6, 2004 A favicon.ico (favicon image) was added to the server. This icon image is used when you bookmark a page on the Ol' Hook & Eye.
February 5, 2004 A new section on Search & Sitemap was added to the How to Use page.

Text on buttons have changed from "Open" to "Expand" and "Close" to "Compress" on the Search & Sitemap page. Text color on buttons has also changed.

January 2, 2004 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A new link was added to the Home page leading to the new How to Use page. The Search & Sitemap page was updated.

When the Index page tests to see if a Flash player is installed, it will no longer redirect to a new page but will run immediately from the page.

The Flash detection code used on the Index page is moock.fpi. The Copyright page was changed to reflect this.
